๐ฎ South Neighbourhood Team Update โ ASB Awareness Week ๐ฎ This week was Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, and our Neighbourhood Team has been out and about working hard to tackle ASB and engage with our community. Weโve been collaborating with our key partner agencies to make our neighbourhoods safer and stronger
Hereโs what weโve been up to:
โ
E-scooter & E-bike Operation โ 6 tickets issued and several vehicles seized as part of our commitment to road safety and responsible riding
โ
Have-Your-Say Meeting โ Held at the Chalvey Hub Community Centre, followed by foot patrols in hotspot areas alongside Councillor Rifaqat Zarait โ
ASB Survey โ Conducted in a local ASB hotspot area, giving residents the chance to share their concerns and shape our response
โ
Multi-Agency Engagement on Slough High Street โ Partnered with Browns, Turning Point, SBC Outreach team and Town Centre BID Wardens to offer support, advice, and signposting to those in need โ
Joint Patrols โ Increased visibility in key hotspot areas with our partners at SBC Outreach, promoting safety and reassurance
โ
PSPO Enforcement โ Took action on Slough High Street by seizing alcohol from street drinkers and ensuring local Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) are upheld
โ
2x Remanded - one person 16 weeks for stalking offences and the other 10 weeks for shoplifting from the Op Purchase team
Weโve really valued the opportunity to meet so many of you this week, hear your views, and work together to build a safer community. ________________________________________ ๐ฎ ASB Crime Prevention Advice ๐ฎ
โ
Report it: Always report ASB incidents to the police via 101 or online. For emergencies, call 999 โ
Be vigilant: If you see persistent nuisance or disruptive behaviour, keep a log of dates, times, and descriptions โ
Work together: Get involved in local community groups or neighbourhood watch schemes โ strong communities deter crime โ
Set clear boundaries: ASB often starts small โ addressing behaviour early can prevent escalation โ
Stay informed: Follow your local police and council pages for updates, safety tips, and community meetings
Together, we can continue to make our neighbourhoods safe and welcoming places to live
